Transition
In 2012 we were asked to come up with a new type of transition workshops we've kept on updating them since, and the results are amazing!
S.A.S.A.S.S

survival and success at secondary school
Richard O'Neill with help from Peter Young
Some comments from the Y6 children:
‘I think that the partners in crime (Mr Young and Mr O’Neil) were brilliant!  They changed the picture in my head about secondary school and they did it in a very funny way.  I recommend them to anyone who is worried about secondary school.’ By Niamh
‘Friday was my day!  It really helped me.  With the tips and the comedy I feel so relaxed about moving on now.’ By Sam
‘I thought it was absolutely hysterical the way Mr Young and Mr O’Neil over exaggerated what happens at secondary school.  They also gave us some really useful tips.’ By Daniel
‘It was a pleasure to watch.  I could have watched it a million times and laugh again and again.’ By Robbie
‘Often Friday afternoons can be a little boring but you made it really fun.  I will take your tips (hiding on the wall) and I will watch out for embarrassing Dads!!’ by Jess
‘I enjoyed that day because of all the humour you used and that we got to act.  I’m definitely not a bit nervous about going to secondary school anymore.’ By Harry

We all know that moving from primary to secondary school can be really daunting for some children and many schools are great at introducing the idea of going to a particular secondary school quite early, but many myths and fears still remain.
We have developed a really superb, unique workshop especially designed to dispel myths, overcome fears and create confidence about going to secondary school.
Richard's high impact workshop uses comedy and superb storytelling to allow year 5 and especially year 6 pupils to see funny side of secondary school.
Giving really useful advice and practical tips on:
How to stop your parents embarrassing you on the first day
How to deal with the dreaded corridor walk
How not to look like a brand new year 7
How to deal with the school super models and Cavemen
How to avoid embarrassment when inviting new friends round to your home

There are many, many more unique pieces of information available during the workshop.
*Teachers please note this is more than a secondary school survival guide,
this workshop could seriously enhance your pupils transition experience.

*Whilst the workshop is a whole load of fun there is some very serious learning that takes place.
