Richard is delivering his unique storytelling performances at a growing number of festivals. Recent ones include: The Chorlton Book festival, Words and Welllies, LiterBury, Out in the woods, The big backyard, The Essex Book Festival, the Fenland Festival, Rochdale Festival of Ideas, the Bradford festival, Evesham festival of Words, Manchester Science museum's Make Fest,the Festival of thrift, Hay festival and the list keeps growing. His ability to engage across the ages means that the whole family can enjoy his amazing stories and dramatic monologues. Not only entertaining but also sharing his experience and methods with new and experienced writers, artists and educationalists.

Richard writes for children, adults and everyone in between, his writing has been critically acclaimed. Some is funny, some is hard hitting. It has explored a whole range of issues, from exclusion to British values. He's currently working with the Independent Theater in Budapest and Giuvlipen theatre in Bucharest to create pieces for the international festival and for a series of performances around health and freedom of movement. Richard has written lyrics for a range of songs including 'My Travelling Heart' and 'WUBBS', and now working with folk singer Michelle Holding on their new project 'Literally Folk'. Once again proving that words can take you almost anywhere.
